How to calculate the specific gravity of solder paste? Idea: Take the same volume of liquid (e.g., water) as the solder paste, weigh it, and calculate the specific gravity.
1. Take a can of lead-free solder paste, weighing 500 + 0.5g (excluding the empty can's weight) à [N].
2. Take a clean solder paste can, fill it with water until the water level is the same as the solder paste level. 1. Weigh the water [K]
2. Measure the water temperature and find the water's specific gravity [L] from the table.
3. Calculate the water volume [M] using the water's weight [K] and specific gravity [L]: [K]/[L] = [M]
4. Since 2., the water volume [M] is the same as the solder paste volume [O]: [M] = [O]
5. Calculate the solder paste specific gravity [P] using the solder paste's weight [N] and volume [O]: [N]/[O] = [P]
